Greetings:

There is a security hole in mySQL 4.0.20 and prior per http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=4017

This is fixed in mySQL 4.0.21 now available from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.0.html

This is fixed in mySQL 4.0.21

Its in FREBSD ports .. there is a issue .. RH has not backported the patches yet .. And mixed clusters will have issues ... I wish they would post workarounds instead of just new versions ..
