Any reasons not to have a holding company

Is there any technical, maintenace or other reasons to NOT create a holding company for the service domain?

I'm afraid that we will run into unnesissary problems and complications by making hsphere part of our existing hosting company/domain. Maybe it's better to make our company a reseller of the service domain and gradually move existing hosting company over.

Would it matter from a licensing issue?

In my opinion only, you should have a main service domain for your company.

However, it does not have to be a particular domain name.

Furthermore, the server plan under which you add service domains can handle multiple domain names; therefore, you could always add your main company's domain name later on.
