Hello,

A client of ours has uploaded a site which was created in FP and when using a seach function he created using FP he got the following listed below. Now FP ext are turned so I what to do....

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

Any insights greatly welcome

John

Greetings John:

1. Make sure the client is publishing using FrontPage, AND publishing to a http address (and not an FTP address).

2. If the client uploaded their pages via FTP, they may have corrupted the extensions. Have them re-publish using http. If that doesn't fix it, then try the "fix" button on the end user control panel under FrontPage.

Should the "fix" not fix, then please uninstall and re-install (in the end user control panel), the extensions.

Thank you.

Cheers for that but unfortunately no joy, I can't put in http://... where the target server address goes, it immediately gives me an error saying FP extensions need to be installed but they are. I have tried fixing the fp extenions but again no joy when I try to http://...

Regards

John

Greetings John:

Please be sure to use "File, Publish FrontPage Web" from the menu and not push or click on any icon.

Thank you.
