View Full Version : service domain email & FTP accounts
I've recently had H-sphere up & running on our server. I've been transfering our customer's domains and creating email and FTP accounts, no problem. I guess what's happened now is that we've finally pushed our own DNS over to the new H-sphere and now I can't seem to be able to create emails or FTP accounts for our own domain. Our domain has been setup as the service domain on the H-sphere server. Can our domain not be the service domain while still creating email FTP accounts? Can someone please show me how to create email and FTP accounts on the service domain? (all of our emails are in limbo until I figure this out!) Thanks!

You should be able to login to "wwwuser" and find your service domain there. You should be able to create email and FTP accounts for your service domain just as if it was a regular HSphere account.

Sorry "log into wwwuser" - ?
U mean log in with that username? I can't !
Also I'm noticing that in my admin control panel it's telling me that the "service zone has no domain". Does that need to be fixed first (I'm pretty sure the service domain was once valid).

Yes .. and I don't know how much you have into this install .. But unless something went real wrong in either the install or with some package on your machine .. You have a 1/2 to better install of PSOFT .. cause the wwwuser is there unless somewhere in the install it failed .. Usual failure points include .. Having Bind on a machine .. Having a stale Postgres DB laying around .. Etc ..

Hi, PJ,
Seconding what LL said, "wwwuser" is created automatically during the install process. To find your wwwuser account, you can log as admin and search for it under the "Search" menu link.

Hey guys (and gals),
I really appreciate everyone's help! Apparently there was some corruption on the server and Psoft (*hoooray*) resolved it for us over the weekend! Now I can see our website, emails, & FTP.......*whew - I'm still employed!
