View Full Version : Ok .. Im The First To Ask About Freebsd 4.10
Hello,
Its the latest stable ..
Freebsd 4.10 Released!! (http://www.freebsd.org/releases/4.10R/announce.html)
I think this is a slam dunk for PSOFT .. So any chance of support for it in Patch 3 ??? As A Roll In .. ??

No big changes in 4.10, so nothing really for Psoft to "support", except to add it to a list I guess.
Lots of bug fixes, including some drivers: Intel Gigabit "em" driver, and it fixed Hyperthreading with this Gigabyte board we have...
Not to bump a thread .. But this is such a lil one ..
Patch 3 has no official 4.10 support ??? Or have you guys at PSOFT tested it ??
Thank You,
Lady Linux

Any issues with upgrading a system from 4.9 to 4.10?
Hello,
Any issues with upgrading a system from 4.9 to 4.10?
Depends on where you are at with 4.9 .. there were about 10 maint releases .. 4.9 release 0 will have issue's for sure ... Easy ones .. such as sshd_config being updated .. But when you run mergemaster .. just pay attention .. and yah .. backup the etc dir .. :-)
